Chadbourn Police have charged a Nakina woman after she allegedly overdosed with a four-month-old child in her car.

Victoria Alex Anne Fipps, 26, was released on a secured bond, according to jail reports. She was charged with felony heroin possession and misdemeanor child abuse on warrants drawn by Cpl. T.G. Lovett of the CPD. Her address was listed on court documents as 5438 Seven Creeks Hwy., Nakina.

The warrant shows that Fipps left her four-month-old son in a locked, running car off Baldwin Street in Chadbourn on July 23. Fipps overdosed on heroin and “required medical care”, according to the warrants. When she was taken into custody Fipps had .52 grams of the drug in a plastic baggie. The warrant does not state if Fipps was in the car with the child when she overdosed.

The child’s condition was not available.
