8:45 p.m. update.

Deputies arrested the suspected First Bank robber at his home Tuesday evening.

Arthur Reid Jennings, 24, was taken into custody at the Green Sea Road home. Green Sea is Third Street in town.

A firearm used in the crime as well as some cash was recovered. No injuries were reported.

11 a.m.

Tabor City Police are searching for a single suspect after the First Bank on Fifth Street was robbed this morning.

The suspect is a black male who entered the bank shortly after 9 a.m., approached a teller and demanded money.
Police are hoping someone recognizes the suspect and can identify him. Call 910.918.4799 if you have any information about the suspect.
