Milton “Sonny” Lindberg Kinlaw, of Lumberton, died June 6, 2021, at Southeastern Health UNC in Lumberton.

He was a US Marine Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralza Braxton Kinlaw and Emma Kinlaw; a brother, David “Sig” Kinlaw; two sisters, Elsie Kinlaw Rozier and Clementine Kinlaw Singletary; and two nephews, Thomas Wayne Kinlaw and Charles Braxton Rozier.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Alice Penny Kinlaw of the home; special nieces, Helen Odom and Linda Hedgpeth; a sister in law, Alda Jackson Kinlaw of Lumberton; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday June 9, 2021, at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, the Rev. David Hawes and Dr. Phillip Hamm officiating. The visitation will follow at the cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Godwin Heights Baptist Church, 704 Godwin Ave., Lumberton, NC, 28358.
