Mr. Johnny MackWade Todd 63, of Hallsboro passed on June 28, 2021 in Lower Cape Fear Lifecare Center, Whiteville.  He was born in Columbus County the son of the late Mack Duffie todd and Louise Hooks Todd.

Mr. Todd was a carpenter for 30 years in home and furniture building.  He was especially known for building swings and rocking chairs for Pierce & Co. in Hallsboro.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He loved sports, especially college basketball. He was a member of the Hallsboro Church of God.

He is survived by his wife of  38 years, Carla Jackson Todd; a son, Shannon Wade Todd and wife, Bridget of Bladenboro; a daughter, Elizabeth LaShea Cressel and Jeffery Jacobs of Hallsboro; grandchildren, Dawson Bryant, Kayla Cressel, Gracie Todd, Emma Todd, Allie Todd, Mac Todd; three brothers, Billy Todd and wife, Connie, Buddy Todd and wife, Cheryl, Ronnie Todd and wife, Maria; six sisters, Helen McLamb, Maxine McLamb, Nellie Imm, Linda Miller and husband, Johnny, Doris Jefferys and husband, Keith, Wanda Williams and husband, Freddie; brother-in-law, John Dale Jackson and wife, Hazel; sister-in-law, Carolyn Jackson and husband, Wayne.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, M.D. Todd, Brenda Ann Todd, Bobbie Lee Todd and George Todd.

His funeral service will be 3:00 pm Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Hallsboro Church of God by Rev. Danny Williams. Burial will be in the Flynn Cemetery.

His family will receive friends one hour prior to his service on Thursday at Hallsboro Church of God.

His family request memorials to be made to Peacock Funeral Home.
