Mrs. Mary Isabel Woodell, age 102, of Lumberton, passed away June 3, 2021, at Wesley Pines Retirement Community in Lumberton. She was born April 10, 1919 in Robeson County. A longtime member of Godwin Heights Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Woodell; her parents, Edward and Mollie Parnell; five sisters: Joyce Gibson, Queen Britt, Louise Britt, Sally Shaw, and Lois Gibson; and two brothers, Wallace Parnell and Charles Edward Parnell. She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Aunt Isabel has always spoken foundly and with love of those who continued to remember her with their visits, phone calls, and cards.

Graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at 3:00 PM at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, with Pastors David Hawes,  Ed Wilcox, and John Spence officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Godwin Heights Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 704 Godwin Avenue, Lumberton, NC 28358
