County parks and recreation schedule summer programs

The Columbus County Parks and Recreation Center is offering a number of enrichment clinics for the 2021 summer season.  

Pre-registration is accepted until the Friday before each clinic. Registration fees can be paid by cash or check the day of the clinic. Please have exact change.

 Accident release forms will be available onsite, but to save some time, you can go to the county parks and rec webpage and click on the form tab. Print and fill out the release forms and bring them to the clinic. Each clinic will also be provided with free refreshments.

The schedule is posted as follows:

Softball Youth Enrichment Clinic. June 7 – 9 (Mon.-Wed.) Southeastern Community College Softball Field. Girls Ages: 5-12. Time: 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Cost of clinic $30, includes free breakfast, lunch and refreshments.

Baseball Youth Enrichment Clinic. June 7-9  (Mon.-Wed.) Southeastern Community College Baseball Field. Boys Ages: 5-12. Time: 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Cost of clinic $30, includes free breakfast, lunch and refreshments.

Fitness Court 101 Enrichment Clinic. June 7-9 (Mon.-Wed.) Columbus County Fitness Park, 131 Government Complex Rd., Whiteville. Girls and Boys Ages: 13-17. Time: 9– 10:30 a.m. Free clinic, with water and refreshments provided. Limited to 12 participants.

Youth Art Enrichment Clinic. June 14 – 17 (Mon.-Thurs.) Columbus County Arts Council. Girls and Boys ages 6-10. Time: 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Cost of clinic $40 includes breakfast, lunch and refreshments for participants. Limited to 20 participants.

Acrylic Pour Painting 101 Enrichment Clinic. June 14 – 17 (Mon.-Thurs.) Columbus County Arts Council. Girls and Boys ages 11-15. Time: 12-3 p.m. Cost of clinic $40 includes breakfast, lunch and refreshments for participants. Limited to 10 participants.

Fitness Court 101 Enrichment Clinic. June 14 – 16, (Mon.-Wed.) Columbus County Fitness Park, 131 Government Complex Rd. Whiteville. Girls and Boys ages: 13-17. Time: 9 – 10:30 a.m. Free clinic with refreshments provided. Limited to 12 participants.

Soccer Enrichment Clinic. June 21-24 (Mon.-Thurs.) Edgewood Park. Cost of each clinic $40. Both include breakfast, lunch and refreshments.

• Clinic 1. Boys and Girls Ages 4 – 9. Time: 9 a.m – 12:30 p.m. 
• Clinic 2. Boys and Girls Ages 10 – 15. Time 12- 3 p.m. 

Tennis Enrichment Clinic – (tentative dates) June 28 – July 1 (Mon.-Thurs.) Whiteville High School Tennis Courts. Free breakfast, lunch and refreshments provided. For boys and Girls ages 6-15. Cost of clinic $40. 
• Clinic 1. Ages 6-10 Time: 9 – 12:30 p.m. 
Clinic 2. Ages 11-15. Time: 12 – 3 p.m.

Volleyball Enrichment Clinic. Beginners and Intermediate. July 12 – 14 (Mon.-Wed.) Whiteville Recreation Center 255 Rec Center Drive, Whiteville. Cost of each clinic $30. Refreshments provided. Girls ages 11-15. Time: 1– 4 p.m. 

Enrichment Clinic at the Chadbourn Depot. July 19 – 22 (Mon. – Thurs.) Chadbourn Depot Museum, 201 W. 1st Ave., Chadbourn. Time: 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Boys and Girls Ages 8 –12. Cost of clinic $20. Free lunch and refreshments. Limited to 25 participants.
