Betty Denise Coleman Sellers, age 68 of Whiteville, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville.

Denise was born on April 26, 1953, in Mullins, SC. She was preceded in death by her father, John Coleman, Jr.; brother, Patrick Lane Coleman and her husband, Larry Delane Sellers; and a nephew, Ryan Coleman.

Final rites will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2021 at Worthington Funeral Home, with Reverend Ricky Parker officiating.  Interment will follow in the Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery; The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service on Monday, at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn.

 Denise was employed by Columbus County Schools, for over 31 years as a teacher at Tabor City Elementary School retiring in 2008. 

Denise leaves behind her beloved mother, Betty Jordan Coleman, of Tabor City; siblings, Reno Coleman and wife, Polly, of Tabor City, Randy Coleman of Lake Toxaway; sister-in-law, Cynthia Coleman of Tabor City; step-son, Larry Delane Sellers, Jr. of Whiteville; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be addressed to the Veterans Memorial Park, 6354 James B. White Hwy South, Whiteville, NC 28472.
