Sheriff’s office seeks break-in suspect

Deputies are searching for a man identified as a suspect in a break-in on Rough and Ready Road.

Shane Howard Jones, 50, is alleged to have entered the home and stolen “multiple items,” according to the sheriff’s office. The incident occurred between May 3 and May 6.

Jones’ last known address was 117 Alton Singletary Rd., Whiteville. He is a white male, 5’11” tall, and weighs 170 pounds.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Det. Adams with the sheriff’s office at 642.6551.
