Mrs. Joyce G. Herring 75, of Whiteville passed on Sunday, May 30, 2021 in Shoreland Healthcare and Retirement.  She was born July 18, 1945 in Columbus County.

She is survived by a son, William Billy Hammon of Whiteville and a daughter, Lorie Canady and husband, Chris of Hallsboro; grandchildren, Amanda Hammon and fiance, Kyle Cook of Whiteville, Chelsea Nance and husband, Brett of Chadbourn; four great grandchildren, Carson Skipper, Cali Brewer, Ryder Nance and Nixon Nance.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Mike Herring, brothers, Billy Griffen and Wilton Griffen,  sisters-in-law, Bernice Griffen of the Beaverdam community and Kathy Griffen of Clarendon.

Funeral service will be graveside at 3:00 pm Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at  Peacock’s Columbus Memorial Park with Rev. Willard McPherson officiating.
