An all-terrain vehicle stolen Monday was retrieved Tuesday, and the alleged thief jailed.

Theodore Jevaugh Booker, 44, of Pinewood Drive, Whiteville, was charged with felony larceny and held under a $5,000 secured bond, according to the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office reported that Adrian Johnson called 911 on Dec. 28 from Brookside Road after discovering his ATV missing from his carport. Detectives developed leads that placed the ATV on Phillips Street, and located the vehicle on Dec. 29. Booker had allegedly stolen the ATV and stored it at the Phillips Street address.

The four-wheeler was returned to Johnson.
