Whiteville Firefighters will ‘fill the boot’ Friday

If you see firefighters around the courthouse Friday, don’t be alarmed.

The Whiteville Firefighters Association will be holding its Fill the Boot campaign from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Proceeds from the event go to help firefighters and their families in times of need.

The WFA is a non-profit organization, and is not affiliated with the city.

Firefighters will be accepting cash donations as well as checks made out to “Whiteville Firefighters Association.”
