The sheriff’s office is hunting for a man who allegedly raped a child.

Jeremy Thomas Ward, 36, is wanted on a single warrant for statutory rape of a child. The incident occurred in 2018, according to the sheriff’s office.

Ward is described as a white male with brown hair and hazel eyes, weighing 245 pounds. His last known address was Red Store Road, according to the sheriff’s office, but he is thought to be in the Hallsboro area.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 642.6551.
