Joyce Ann Green Nance-Lookabill

Joyce Ann Green Nance-Lookabill, age 80 of Cerro Gordo, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 19, 2020, at her home.

A native of Columbus County, Joyce was born on July 12, 1940, to the late Johnnie Franklin and Alice Thompson Green. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Donald Harry Nance and Bill Lookabill; sister, Elizabeth Blackwell, and her grandson, Justin Turbeville.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2020 at Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery; Rev. George Strickland will officiate.

Joyce was employed at Ellis Meares Hardware Store in Fair Bluff for several years, serving as a bookkeeper. Prior to joining the Ellis Meares work family, Ms. Joyce also served as the Bookkeeper for West Columbus High School in Cerro Gordo; Joyce was also a lifelong member of Cerro Gordo Baptist Church. 

Survivors include her daughter, Wendy Nance Turbeville (Donald-preceded) of Cerro Gordo; son, Chris D. Nance (Kim) of Rocky Point; siblings, Sylvia Edwards of Raleigh, Lester Green of Holden Beach; grandchildren, Bradley Turbeville (Kayla), Lauren Nance, Josh Nance; great-grandchildren, Breanna Turbeville, Brinkley Turbeville; step-great-grandson, Drew Williamson.
