The town of Lake Waccamaw has issued a boil water order for homes from the 2600 Canal Cove Road to the end of Waccamaw Shores. The order does not include Wooded Acres.

A leaking water main on Canal Cove Road caused a pressure loss, which could result in contamination.

All water used for consumption should be vigorously boiled for one minute, the town said.
