WPD, Harvest table food drive underway

More than 500,000 pounds of food went to needy family from the Harvest Table Food Bank of Whiteville last year.
“The need is everywhere,” said Kevin Hatcher of Harvest Table.
Harvest Table and the Whiteville Police are hosting the “Help Feed Hunger” food drive today (July 23) and July 30 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
WPD and Whiteville Fire were also handing out masks and smoke detectors at today’s event.
